GLP‑1 Medication Support

GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro can significantly change your appetite, digestion and relationship with food. So getting nutrition support alongside your treatment can make a real difference to how you feel and how you are able to maintain your results in the long-term.
Our dietitians work with people already using GLP-1 medications (prescribed and monitored by your GP or specialist) to support you through treatment.
This includes:
-
Managing appetite changes and eating enough to meet your nutritional needs, even when appetite is significantly reduced.
-
Navigating common side effects such as nausea, reflux, constipation or early fullness
-
Prioritising adequate protein and nutrient intake to help protect muscle mass and overall health
-
Building sustainable, satisfying eating patterns that work with your medication rather than against it
-
Ongoing support as your needs change throughout treatment
We work collaboratively with your prescribing doctor as part of your broader care team. Our approach is weight-neutral in philosophy. We're not here to police your intake, but to make sure your body is genuinely well-nourished while the medication does its job, and that you're set up for long-term wellbeing.
Who this is for: Anyone currently taking a GLP-1 medication who wants dietetic support to manage side effects, protect their nutrition, and build sustainable habits.
Recommended practitioner: This is a special area of interest for both Monica and Susan, consultations available both via telehealth and in-person (Fridays) at our Mornington clinic.
